Day to day

So we are still getting used to taking Dallas to school every morning. How did our Mom ever do it? Especially when you have kids in multiple schools. But here is a picture. Brenna says Dallas is her best friend. Brenna also likes to be referred to by her full name B Charlotte P. She says her name is not Brenna boo (sometimes we call her that). Nathan had yesterday off work so we went to our new fav restaurant here--Big Island Grill. So good.
Dallas has this new obsession with picking Sadie up. It makes me nervous.

Spiders and more...

Nathan got a reaction from a medicine he was taking. Who knew he was allergic to penicillin? This is just a glimpse of what he looked like. He couldn't even move his fingers they got so swollen. Poor Guy!! He is doing much better now.

So this week we have found these spiders around our yard!! They are huge and make huge webs. People here love to say, "Get used to it," when talking about all the bugs and spiders here. They are everywhere. Luckily they are not poisonous. Only the centipedes and little frogs that come out at night are what you have to watch for. If you find a centipede, you have to cut it up I guess b/c it won't die any other way.

Keiki ponds

So behind the free community pool are these Keiki ponds. (Keiki means children). And the waves don't hit this area to much so it was perfect for the kids. We went while Dallas was in school. Also there are some more random pictures of the kids. The ones of Sadie are from the side of the house when it was supposed to be a hurricane but turned out so pretty. Another was a picture of Dallas ready for school with her backpack and lunch bag. She is still begging to ride the bus.

Wild Wild West

So Dallas LOVES the ipod and we are always trying to find clean fun music for her to listen to. She loves primary songs but sometimes she wants something with a beat. So when she heard Will Smith, she went WILD. This is to the song Wild Wild West! So funny!

Right now, we have minimal access to internet:). It takes a few weeks for the installers to come--same with phone and t.v. Here is the street name that is our major cross street. Pua means flower. We survived the weekend while Nathan went to Portland for training. There was supposed to be a hurricane but we have seen only blue skies. And I think the wind has blown away the vog (vog is volcanic gas + fog). The last picture is headed up to Waikaloa. Just a picture out the window of the lava rock.
Dallas started her 1st day of school! She seemed to do okay. The teacher did say she was really chatty and she told me she was talking to her about church stuff:). Anyways, I will post pictures of that soon. She was so excited and was mad that I picked her up from school because the other kids ride the bus home. So we are going to look into that.

Going to the Pool

So I love that Kona has a free community pool! The girls were soo excited to go. They even have a baby pool, which they call Keiki Pool. Keiki means children in Hawaiian. This walker that Sadie is in someone in the ward dropped off for her. That was the same person who dropped off blow up beds for us to use while we are waiting for our beds to come. And the same family who fed us Sunday dinner last week, had the kids over to play, gave us a table and we bought a couch off of. They have been soo helpful. Everyone I have met here is so nice. A few days ago, I went to Nathan's work and he fixed all my chipped teeth (thanks to pregnancy). The girls in the office babysat the girls and were wonderful. It was great and Nathan did a fabulous job. I have a camera now so I hope you enjoy the picts!
